In case you were wondering…
Here’s a little info about me and this blog, in case you were wondering…
My name is Kelly and I am a student in the Integrated Marketing Communication master’s program at West Virginia University. For the next nine weeks I will be using this blog to share and discuss issues related to digital media. Specifically, I will be exploring how marketers can use digital media to build relationships with customers.
I live in West Virginia and I work as an admissions counselor at a small liberal-arts university. I enjoy communicating with prospective students and their families as they navigate the admissions process. In Higher Education, just as in any other business, it is important to build meaningful, and therefore profitable, relationships with customers. At my current organization, we use a variety of tools in our relationship-building efforts, and I am looking forward to learning more ways to incorporate digital media.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in mass communication and have held a couple of positions in public relations, promotions, and student affairs at different colleges and universities.
I welcome any feedback on the topics I will be discussing, or any questions/comments about media and higher education.
